Directions to Phil’s Forest in Derry:

From Southern NH:

Take I-93 Exit 4 and turn east on Route 102 to Derry. Travel 1 mile and you will see Crystal Avenue on the left, at a set of lights. Turn onto Crystal Ave. and go straight for 1.5 miles, passing Applebee’s, and watch for Extra Space storage units with green doors on the right. There turn right onto Scobie Pond Rd.

From Northern NH:

Take I-93 Exit 5 in Londonderry, and turn left off the exit ramp. Follow the road exactly 2.4 miles and look for Discount Auto on the right and Extra Space storage units on the left. There turn left onto Scobie Pond Rd.

Once on Scobie Pond Rd.:

Continue for .3 mile to Auto Choice Warehouse on the left. Turn left onto Brewster Road, a dirt road, and go .2 mile. Phil’s driveway is on the left, with a gated entrance. Release the clasp to open the gate, and re-fasten when you are through.

Travel up his driveway to the clearing to park.

Bring a towel, flip flops, and food to share, along with a lounge chair if you wish. Shower at home first if you want to use the hot tub. Check the weather in Derry before coming; don’t rely on the weather where you live. No pets; no politics; no fireworks — leave them at home. If the gate is locked, don’t go in.
