NNH Summer Festival

National Nude Recreation Week at A Sacred Place

NNH will be holding its second annual summer festival at A Sacred Place in Canaan, from 1 p.m. on Friday, July 13, through 1 p.m. on Sunday, July 15.

Come for one day, two days, or for the weekend. Pitch a tent in a grassy field, or at one of numerous tent sites in the woods (cooler than under a hot sun).
There are no hookups for campers and RVs, but they are welcome in the large parking area at A Sacred Place.

Pavilion kitchen area has food preparation area, charcoal and gas grills, smoker, and more.
Electricity for crock pots available.

Warning: This is a very rustic camping area, with no running water or toilets, just outhouse/privy.
Potable water available in barrels and water for washing in other containers, with a solar-heated shower.

If you don't mind the rustic atmosphere, there are acres of grassy areas and timber trails for exploration or meditation, a babbling brook for cooling off,
a fire pit for evening gatherings, and space for volleyball, soccer, petanque, or other games you want to bring along.
Play an instrument? Native drums, guitars, flutes? Bring them along, or just bring your voice.

NNH HAM radio will be operating as NU1DE during the weekend festival.

Have a special interest? We'll welcome other activities, such as painting/drawing, craft workshops, etc.

There are nearby places to explore: Polar Caves, Ruggles Mine, perhaps make an outing to The Ledges, about 1.5 hours away. We'll have a complete list of places to go if you want to head out; or remain at A Sacred Place and enjoy the tranquility of a rare and special piece of land.
